1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of Historigame, a free daily game in which you guess a historical figure from progressive clues. By creating an account or using the site, you accept these terms.

2. Access to the game

The daily game is accessible for free, with or without an account. Creating an account (via Google login) is required to keep your results history, appear on the leaderboards, and join or create leagues.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping access to your account confidential
Your username must be unique and must not impersonate a third party, nor be insulting, offensive or misleading
You can delete your account at any time from the Profile page; this action is irreversible
If you play without an account and then log in the same day, that game's score may be automatically linked to your account

4. Leagues and interactions between players

Historigame lets you create private leagues and invite other players by their username. A league's creator can remove a member or delete the league at any time; deleting a league removes all its members automatically. Each player remains free to leave a league at any time.

5. Expected behavior

You agree not to attempt to bypass the game mechanics (for example by trying to access the answer before legitimately obtaining it), not to disrupt the operation of the site, and to adopt a respectful username and behavior toward other players.

6. Service availability

Historigame is a project under continuous development. We strive to ensure continuous availability of the service, without guarantee of result. The site may be temporarily interrupted for maintenance, updates, or in the event of an outage beyond our control. The game's features may change, be added or removed without notice.

7. Intellectual property

The concept, code, texts and visual identity of Historigame are protected. The images used come from Wikimedia Commons and are used in accordance with their own licenses. See the legal notice for more details.

8. Changes to these terms

These terms may be modified at any time, notably to reflect changes in the site's features (for example the future introduction of a paid subscription). The last-updated date at the top of this page reflects the version in force.
